Company History

MCM Chemical handling began trading on the 17th of March 1991, involved initially in the processing and regeneration of chemical raw material, and the provision of consulting service regarding the save handling and storage of chemicals and dangerous goods.

Shortly following its inception, MCM began providing practical solutions to repacking problems, by undertaking the work on behalf of customers and developed processes for the repackaging of liquids, pastes and powders into any size package of various types from grams to road tankers and pneumatic trucks.

MCM has since developed its processing activities in response to customer requirement and opportunities to include crushing, milling, sieving, filtering and blending of chemicals, both hazardous and Dangerous Goods.

More recently in May, 2003 the company moved from its Killara Road premises in Campbellfield where it had conducted business for the previous 9 years to a 1.5 hectare site in Glenbarry Road, Campbellfield. The site is ideally situated in the north of Melbourne with easy access to the Metropolitan Ring Road and the Hume Highway for interstate deliveries Our warehouse should ideally service your logistic requirements.

The site comprises a 4,500 square metre warehouse (7,000 pallet), a 3,500 square metre factory c/w trade waste service, abundant power and overhead gantry cranes and hoists. Additionally MCM invested heavily in equipment and installed 15 tanks of differing construction, including fibreglass, mild steel, polypropylene and Stainless Steel and volume from 20,000 lt to 100,000 lt in a 1,000 square metre tank farm.

The tank farm caters for a variety of customer raw materials and finished goods from flammable liquids and oils through to aqueous and corrosive chemicals.

The site still has 0.5 hectare for further development and will be utilised as MCM further expands.

Our new premise has enabled us to expand our services to include toll manufacturing of chemicals

Over 30,000 litres of blending and reaction vessels complement our 7,600 lt Stainless Steel reactor (pressurised and heated) which when combined with our APV Manton Gaulin Homogeniser, enables our company to provide extensive toll manufacturing opportunities for our customers.

MCM produces a range of uncured butyl rubber tapes for industrial use. Applications which are as diverse as our customers from adhesives to sealing compounds

The staff of MCM includes operators, forklift drivers, storeman and supervisors, all of whom have had experience with dangerous goods which are handled daily.
