 An ADS S/S lump crusher performs the majority of crushing work, crushing hardened 25kg bags of chemicals, back into its original form by mechanically raking the chemicals through sizing screens. The agglomerated chemicals can be crushed back to, or reduced to granules, crystal or a powdered consistency, irrespective of its original starting form. This process enables the products to be more easily used in manufacture or made saleable. All types of dangerous goods can be crushed including Class 4, (flammable spontaneously Combustible and dangerous when wet solids), class 5 (Oxidising agents), class 6 (Poisons) and Class 8 (Corrosives). Crushed products can then be repacked into any packaging required.
Chemicals that require crushing in packages greater than 50 kg such as hardened 1000 kg bulk bags and 200lt drums of solidified resin are processed through the Hazemag Impact Crusher. This former mining plant was previously crushing basalt rocks before MCM lined it with stainless steel and converted it to crushing chemicals and dangerous goods.
